Does yoga help you lose weight?
One common question people ask me is ‘Does yoga help you lose weight?’ The answer is yes! Carrying extra weight has both a mental and physical aspect that yoga has that can help with.
Here are some ways yoga helps you lose weight…
You will learn how to connect to your body. This means you will know when you feel full and it will help avoid over eating.
Moving your body and doing Power Yoga will build strength and muscle. When we build muscle, we burn more energy at rest.
Lastly, but most importantly…
Yoga teaches you to love yourself, so you will care less about any weight you have! What you start to care about is if you are respecting your body and if you are healthy, this is all that really matters after all. As long as you look in the mirror and you love what you see, this is what really counts. When you enter this relm, this is when the effects of yoga REALLY start working…
